Culture Programme 2007–2013
The aim of the Culture Programme is to encourage and support cultural
cooperation within Europe in order to bring the European common cultural
heritage to the fore. The Programme proposes funding opportunities to all
cultural sections and all categories of cultural operators contributing to
the development of cultural cooperation at European level, with a view to
encouraging the emergence of European citizenship.

Project "AQUARING"
(2008–2009)
The aim of the project is to create the largest in Europe multilingual web
portal concerning water ecosystems and rational their exploiting. The web
portal has its different layers for various user groups such as:
institutions of education, centres for scientific research, tourism
agencies, museums, aquariums, press and etc. The project is guided by the
Aquarium of Genova. Museums of natural history, zoos and institutions of
scientific research from Italy, Belgium, France, Lithuania, Spain and the
Netherlands have joined the project as partners. Lithuania is represented by
the Lithuania Sea Museum.

Project "Training Expertise
and Abilities of the 21st Century’s Museums’ Staff" (2006–2009)
In 2006 Association of Lithuanian Museums in cooperation with 10 partners
started implementing a project of museums’ staff qualification improvement
“Training Expertise and Abilities of the 21st Century’s Museums’ Staff”. The
main goal of the project was to train the main abilities and competencies of
national and regional museums’ workers in order to complement museums’
cultural and educational activities for better society serving.
