The exposition displays material about the life and creativity of the poet Antanas Vienažindys (1841–1892).

The museum was opened in the birthplace of A. Vienažindys in 1971.
Museum’s exposition is set up in the house, which was built in 19th century by grandfather of the poet.
Museum’s establishers are Dr. Algimantas Žilėnas and Jonas Nemanis.
