Exposition
In 1986, in the house where the poet J. Krikščiūnas – Jovaras had
lived during the period of 1946–1967, a museum was established. The poet’s
memorial rooms had been equipped as well.
In 1995 the exposition ‘The World and Fates of Literature Creators’ was
opened. It signified the beginning of Šiauliai literary museum. In the
exposition many unique exhibits are accumulated, among them – the exhibits
that reflect the lives and creation of such Lithuanian writers as P.
Višinskis, Žemaitė, G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė, Šatrijos Ragana, M. Untulis, M.
Slančiauskas, M. Grigonis, J. Miliauskas-Miglovara, J. Janonis, K. Korsakas,
F. Kirša, L. Jakavičius-Lietuvanis and others.
New exposition since December 2010.
