Collection
Material about writers, priests, scientists, emigrants, political prisoners,
exiles and resistants of the Prienai land is being accumulated.
Rich collection of the material (1 839 items) witnessing the life and
activity of the legendary priest, fighter for the rights of believers, a
member of the underground organization, political prisoner Juozas Zdebskis.
A lot of material has been collected about the poet Justinas Marcinkevičius
(898 items), Marija Aukštaitė (Kotryna Radkevičiūtė-Navikevičienė) (306
items).

Ethnographical
exposition
The exposition contains housewares and the implements for flax treatment,
spinning and weaving, and agricultural work. The old village house
environment is displayed in a separate hall.
Folk art exposition
It presents the creation of Prienai land folk artists.
Exposition of Prienai Land
history
The exposition presents materials about the after-war struggle for
independence in Prienai region and the path of life of some famous guerrilla
fighters: captain Kazimieras Pyplys-Mažylis (1923–1949), captain Jurgis
Krikščiūnas-Rimvydas (1919–1949), Juozas Lukša-Daumantas, colonel Sergiejus
Staniškis-Litas and others from Tauras district Iron Wolf crack troops.
Sacral Exposition
It is interesting for its old church attributes, ancient prayer books,
church books, breviaries, tabular, hymnals, material about eminent priests,
liturgical vestments, crosses, sculptures and paintings from churches of
Prienai region.
Exposition of writers
In the writers’ room one is able to learn about the work and life of word
masters from Prienai Land. In this exposition you can find portraits, books,
articles, awards, and manuscripts.

education
Through this exposition one can get to know the most famous educators of
Prienai land.
