craftsmen-made crockery, Renaissance and Baroque tiles, tile stove

Contemporary
Lithuanian Ceramics
The exposition
presents the works of the graduates (V. Miknevičius, V. Manomaitis and
others) of Kaunas Art School.
A new tradition of porcelain manufacturing was formed in Kaunas. After
the establishment of “Jiesia” ceramics factory, a rare technology of
bone-porcelain was introduced and practiced. “Jiesia” now manufactures
chinaware and pottery that is designed not only for everyday use, but
the factory also produces experimental collections of various artistic
works. The exposition features the works created by some of the most
prominent masters of contemporary porcelain, such as L. Šulgaitė, A.
Višinskienė, I. Petravičienė, J. Navakienė.
