The collection consists of the following:
Lithuanian national musical instruments;
International musical instruments used in Lithuania long since;
Musical instruments of world nations;
Musical records, books about music, placards, photos and letters.
Expositions
Lithuanian folk music wind-instruments and their
development
Multi-pipe whistles, whistles, pipes, reed-pipes, trumpets and other
ancient music instruments.
Lithuanian folk stringed-instruments
There is exhibited kankles (Lithuanian folk music instrument with strings)
and its’ variety, transformation to academic instrument.
Exposition of “Lithuanian folk theatre” (1968–2003)
guided by Dalia and Povilas Mataiciai
There is presented a first Lithuanian art association during Soviet
Occupation. Associations’ creative work was based on original Lithuanian
folk music.
International folk music instruments
There are exhibited instruments used in professional and folk music and
have deep tradition in Lithuania.
Musical instruments of world nations
There is presented a collection of musical instruments from various
countries.
Exhibitions
The Museum arranges exhibitions of national art, photography, folk art,
domestic tools, musical instruments, traditional costumes and others.
Cultural, educational activity
Concerts and various social events are frequently held in the museum.
Giving of concerts-lessons;
Organizing of excursions for children;

Organizing of musical hours;
