THE EXHIBITION OF THE
EXHIBITS, OBTAINED DURING TEN YEAR (1992–2002)
The
Museum of Genocide Victims, Hall of the Alternate Exhibitions
The exhibition of the
exhibits, obtained during ten year, has been arranged in the hall of the
alternate exhibitions on the occasion of the Museumss ten-year
anniversary. Most of the exhibits were given as a present and only some of
them were gathered during the excursions organized by the Lithuanian
Genocide and Resistance Research Center. Photographies, things, documents,
even private, tell about the fates of the people who gave their valuables.
Their things reflect the whole epoche, the most tragic periods of the
Lithuanian history in 20th Century. Visitors will catch sight of the
exhibits, reflecting the Independent life of Lithuanians, the
representation of the deportees daily, laboring and leisure routine,
postwar partisan fights, antiarmed resistance.
Because of the lack of place or because of the other motives, only small
part of the exhibits, obtained in ten years, is presented for the
visitors. The archives of the partisan units and several photographies
made from the original negatives are presented only fragmentary.
Information about valuables museum-pieces is complemented with the
photographies rotating in the computers monitor: one can see the
exhibits that are put in the in exhibitions and not exposed exhibits.
The names of the person who gave their exhibits for the museum or who help
in any way to fight with the time are written on the separate stand. We
thank them very much
